Richmond & remote
Practical AI help for Richmond small businesses.
Make a recurring task easier with a setup you understand and can use yourself.
First Charter AI provides AI consulting, training, and implementation for independent professionals and very small businesses in Richmond, Virginia, and remotely. We start with your existing work and tools, then agree on a focused first step.
Find a useful starting point.
You might have discovery notes that need to become a proposal, recurring customer questions that need consistent draft replies, or information scattered across documents. A useful first project has a clear input, a result you can review, and a person responsible for checking it.
Compare vendor proposals side by side, identify missing costs, and prepare follow-up questions or negotiation emails for approval. Watch the vendor comparison demo.
Build around tools you can own.
A setup might involve reusable instructions and projects in ChatGPT or Claude, organizing the context those tools need, or connecting a workflow to existing software. The scope depends on the task; a useful improvement does not always require a custom application.
We agree on the work, test it together, and provide a walkthrough and written instructions. Your accounts stay yours. Any software subscriptions, access requirements, review steps, and limits are discussed before work begins.
Agree on scope and price first.
Initial consultations are complimentary. Setup projects, team training, and continuing support are quoted separately, with scope and fees agreed before work begins. Larger changes are scoped separately rather than assumed to be part of ongoing help.
If you mainly want to learn a tool on one agreed task, a personal AI training session may be the right first step. Personal session pricing is $150 for 60 minutes, including a brief written recap, with no ongoing commitment.
Keep the result useful over time.
Continuing guidance can cover new questions, troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvements. Meeting frequency, included work, response times, and fees are agreed to fit your needs.
The goal is a workflow you can evaluate: does it produce a useful draft, what still needs checking, and when should a person handle the task directly? Important decisions and outgoing work remain subject to your judgment.
Share the task you have in mind.
Describe the recurring task, the tools you use, and where the process gets stuck. Start with a complimentary consultation before committing to a project. Please leave confidential business documents and sensitive personal information out of your initial message.
