About us
In 1606, the First Charter of Virginia sent three small ships toward a coastline no one had fully mapped. The people who sailed had no guarantee of what they would find, just a mandate to explore and the conviction that the new territory was worth the crossing. Virginia, and eventually Richmond, began with that document.
Artificial intelligence is this generation's unmapped territory, and small businesses shouldn't have to cross it alone. First Charter AI exists to be the guide: to separate what's real from what's hype, chart a course that fits your business, and do the practical work of getting you there.
First Charter AI is the practice of Shea Conaway, a data scientist and AI engineer with more than a decade of experience across insurance, higher education, automotive, and banking. Shea is based in Richmond, Virginia.
